My favourite book and film
My mother always enjoyed reading
novels about crime, love, war, about everything in reality, so she tried
to inherit that passion. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of reading, I only
read two books every year (and just if it's a good year), but if the book it's romantic
and have a happy ending probably I’d read the same day.
I’m not sure, but I think my favourite
book is “The Ghost” by Danielle Steel, I read it when I was 13 probably. It’s a
compelling story of love and suspense, I can’t remember all the details but
when someone asked me what my favourite book was, the first one that came to my
mind was “The Ghost”. It’s an interesting story about second chances, past
histories and the true love, that love that makes you sigh and be really happy.
Well maybe I’m a corny person.
About my favourite film is “Hacksaw Ridge”
I saw it in the cinema the last year if I remember it well. I usually don’t
like movies about war or action, but this movie it’s so beautiful and emotive.
It’s about a soldier called Desmond Doss, he is an American pacifist combat
medic who refused to use a weapon or kill someone.
What I like most about this movie is the strength
and the conviction that Desmond has, he had a huge and kind heart, always
thinking of others and respecting his beliefs even under the worst circumstances. This movie makes me think about all the times that we don’t defend our beliefs because we’re scared or too worried about what people would say. Definitely Desmond Doss is someone to admire.
That book sounds great! maybe I will read it, and the movie i will definitely watch it.
